THE FAQ

I photograph weddings with a fine art documentary style and approach. Editorial and photo journalistic sensibilities are combined to document your day as it unfolds. My approach to each wedding is always the same: to capture the perfectly unique narrative of what personifies you as a couple, while making sure that your story is told in an elegant, natural, and tasteful way.

Peace of Mind

Below are some of the common questions I get asked. My goal is to provide you with a tranquil and stress free atmosphere so that you feel comfortable and at ease every step of the way, and can enjoy yourself and your extraordinary event.

01.  What is your style and approach?

I photograph weddings with a fine art documentary style and approach. Editorial and photo journalistic sensibilities are combined to document your day as it unfolds. My approach to each wedding is always the same: to capture the perfectly unique narrative of what personifies you as a couple, while making sure that your story is told in an elegant, natural, and tasteful way.

02.  Where are you based?

I live in a suburb of Indianapolis, USA, but I will travel anywhere to photograph your wedding. I have photographed weddings throughout the Midwest, in the mountains of Colorado, and even as far away as Hong Kong. Having grown up in both Latin America and in the UK, and having spent a significant amount of time in mainland China and Hong Kong, you can be rest assured that I am always well prepared to document your wedding, wherever it may take me.

03.  How is travel handled for destination weddings?

All of the logistics of booking airfare, hotels, and transportation are handled by me. This is one less thing you have to worry about. Please contact me for more details about the customizable travel collections that are available.

04.  Do I receive copyrights to the photos?

As the photographer, I retain the full copyright of the photos taken on your wedding day, but you will receive printing rights so that you can print off photos and share them online as you choose.

05.  Do you edit all of your photos yourself?

Yes, all of the images taken during your wedding day are proofed and edited personally by me. They are not sent off to a third party editing service or lab. This retains the integrity and vision of me as the photographer, and ensures that each image is selected and edited with care.

06.  How soon after the wedding will we get our photos?

Normal turnaround time is 6-8 weeks after your wedding. I do not believe in rushing the process of editing your wedding photos. You invested a lot of time and resources into your wedding day, and your images should receive the same level of attention and thoughtful care.

07.  How many photos will we receive?

There is no set amount, but a general guideline is that you will receive 60-80 edited high-resolution photos for every hour of coverage. I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. Each frame is carefully chosen either for its emotional content, beauty, and/or composition. Because of the uniqueness of every wedding and couple, the amount of images delivered normally will depend on the wedding's duration, location(s), and number of guests.

08. Can we order prints and albums through you?

Absolutely! Albums and prints are sourced from some of the finest professional printing labs and are meant to last for generations. I believe that owning physical prints and albums is an essential way of enjoying, sharing, and preserving the memories of your wedding, which is separate from the experience of viewing them online.
